I think about everybody can relate to having an ex who literally murders people with an axe. Or ax? Legitimately unsure of how to spell this two or three letter word.
If this comic strip doesn’t make you want to get up, go buy a ping pong table and paddles, learn the 7,611 rules of the CUPS rulebook, become a great CUPS player and enjoy the fortune of fame afforded of an international sports superstar, then I don’t know what to tell you.
Full disclosure, I spent a good 5-8 minutes of my life researching whether the Elk’s Lodge is a national thing, thereby being something that most people knew of. Even if it’s not, I kind of feel like context is your friend in this particular comic.
I suppose the joke in this strip is that they’re hiding behind the car, as if they are children. Though I suppose the really cynical societal joke here is the idea that there are actually comedies that aren’t male driven… Sorry about the punchline confusion, everyone… Will work on more efficient joke telling post-haste.
